Three reasons teams move their operation from Notion to Jestor
Unlimited users. One flat price.
Notion bills per member: $10 or $20 per person per month, and the features an operation needs (row-level permissions, full automations, Notion AI) sit on the $20 Business plan. Jestor is a flat monthly fee with unlimited users on every plan. Add the whole warehouse, every supplier and every field team. The invoice doesn’t move.
We build everything. You just use it.
In Notion, someone on your team becomes the builder, and the system decays when they get busy. “Steep learning curve” is the most common complaint tag in Notion’s G2 reviews. With Jestor, our team maps the process, builds the apps, imports your data and keeps building on a fixed review cadence. You request, we ship.
Customize the system, not just the page.
Notion is superb at customizing pages. Jestor customizes the system underneath: tables, fields, permissions, automations and apps. Need a new field, a new approval stage, a new automation? Say it in Claude, Cursor or the prompt box, or ask our team. The AI inherits your permissions and every change is logged, human or AI.
FAQ
Is Notion a database?
Notion includes databases (tables with relations, rollups, formulas and several views) inside a document workspace. It is not a relational database in the engineering sense: access rules are page and row based, automations have three trigger types and can’t chain, and Notion publishes no database size limit. For documentation with structured lists, that is plenty. For an operation with hand-offs and permissions, teams usually move that part to a dedicated platform.
What is the difference between Jestor and Notion?
Notion is a workspace for docs, wikis and planning with databases built in. Jestor is an operations platform: a relational database with apps, chainable automations, field-level permissions and AI agents, which Jestor’s team builds and maintains for you on a flat monthly price with unlimited users.
Is Jestor a Notion alternative?
For running operations, yes. For writing documentation, no; keep Notion for that. Most Jestor customers use both.
Does Notion have unlimited users?
Notion bills per member: $0 on Free, $10 on Plus and $20 on Business per member per month (annual billing), with Enterprise custom. Guests are free on paid plans but only see pages shared with them. Jestor includes unlimited users on every plan for a flat monthly fee.
Who builds the system in Jestor?
Jestor’s team does. Every plan includes a scoped setup where we map your process and build the first apps, then a review cadence (monthly on Pro, biweekly on Ops Team, weekly on Dedicated) where you request changes and we ship them. You can also make changes yourself by prompt.
Can I customize Jestor as much as Notion?
Differently. Notion is more flexible for shaping pages and documents. Jestor is more flexible for shaping the system: tables, fields, permissions, automations and apps can be changed by prompt from Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT or any MCP client, or by asking our team. The AI inherits your permissions and every change is logged.
Does Notion have automations?
Yes. Notion database automations are available on paid plans, with three trigger types (page added, property edited, every {frequency}) and actions such as editing properties, adding pages, sending Slack messages, emails and webhooks. Per Notion’s help center, automations can’t be triggered by other automations.
Does Notion have row-level or field-level permissions?
Row-level (“granular database”) permissions are available on Notion’s Business and Enterprise plans, using Person or Created-by properties. Notion doesn’t offer permissions on individual properties. Jestor offers field-level rules on all plans, and its AI agents inherit them.
How does Notion pricing compare to Jestor?
As of September 2026, Notion charges per member: Free, Plus $10, Business $20 (annual), Enterprise custom, with Custom Agents billed on credits. Jestor charges a flat monthly fee with unlimited users: Pro $1,000/month plus a $2,900 setup, Ops Team $5,000/month, Dedicated custom.
Can I import my Notion databases into Jestor?
Yes. Export from Notion as CSV, and Jestor’s team imports it into relational tables as part of setup. Relations are rebuilt as links between tables.
Does Jestor have AI like Notion AI?
Both have AI, aimed at different jobs. Notion AI (Business plan) summarizes meetings, searches across connected apps, builds and edits databases by prompt and runs Custom Agents on credits. Jestor’s AI builds and changes tables, forms, apps, permissions and automations from a prompt, answers questions from your data within your permissions, and runs email, WhatsApp and document-OCR agents inside your processes. Both products publish an MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT can connect to either one.
Is Jestor secure?
Jestor is SOC 2 Type I and Type II certified, LGPD compliant and runs regular penetration tests; SSO is available on the Dedicated plan, and human and AI actions share one audit trail. Notion holds SOC 2 Type 2 and four ISO certifications and maps its privacy program to GDPR; HIPAA (via BAA) and audit logs are on its Enterprise plan.
Who owns the data in Jestor?
You do. It runs in your Jestor workspace and can be fully exported at any time via CSV or API, with no exit fee.
What are Jestor’s limits?
Records per table: 10,000 (Pro), 50,000 (Ops Team), 150,000 (Dedicated). Automation runs per month: 3,000 / 15,000 / 50,000. Users are unlimited on every plan.
Can Jestor and Notion work together?
Yes. Jestor’s API, webhooks and MCP can post status updates into Notion pages, and Notion’s API, webhooks and MCP server can send data to Jestor. Teams often keep both connected to the same AI client.
